Indiana Fairs and Festivals

Fairs and festivals are perfect opportunities to explore. You can explore new places, new foods, and new cultures, and just let loose and have fun. Indiana is full of great festivals, and many of them take place close to Greenwood. You can get out, enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells, and have an easy drive home if you live at Flats at Stones Crossing. #1: “Frigid Digits” Winter Beer Fest
Make your way to Centerpoint Brewing Company in downtown Indianapolis on February 18th for a super unique event. It’s a chance to try over 25 samples from local breweries and distilleries, and the samples are unlimited. To take it even further, this all takes place outside! With a DJ, food truck, and more, you’re sure to have some fun.

#2: Marsh Madness Sandhill Crane Festival
This special festival is a bit further of a drive to Linton, Indiana, but the experience is incredible. It is timed to line up with a huge waterfowl and sandhill crane migration and all kicks off on Friday, February 24th. Throughout the festival, you can meet up with bird guides, enjoy a banquet, visit a craft fair, and much more.

#3: Parke County Maple Fair
Three words: fresh maple syrup. That is the focus of this fair in Rockville, Indiana on February 25th-26th and March 4th-5th. This is a great opportunity to get a taste of rural life and drive around scenic country roads, under covered bridges, and get to sample tasty maple creations.

#4: Orleans Dogwood Festival
From April 22nd to April 29th, you can visit Orleans, Indiana for some beautiful scenery and fun-filled activities. The town launched a campaign in the 60s to plant trees and beautify the area. Their success has led to the creation of this festival where you can enjoy the blooming dogwood trees as well as arts and crafts, food, a parade, and more.

#5: Viking Fest
Get in touch with your medieval side at this event from April 28th-30th in Whitestown. You’ll get to see participants decked out in full costume, participate in archery and axe throwing, and of course, enjoy some Viking-themed food!

#6: Riley Wranglers Arts and Crafts Fair
Come explore all kinds of homemade goods: candles, dolls, quilts, jewelry, and more. At this fair, you can explore over 120 booth spaces, and admission and parking are 100% free. The fair takes place in Greenfield on the first Saturday in May.

#7: Central Indiana Enchanted Fairy Festival
Fun and fantasy abound at the Enchanted Fairy Festival in Avon! You’ll see full-blown costumes and aerial acrobatics. You can expect to find arts and crafts, games, unicorns, mermaids, a pirate band, and more. Stop by on May 20th and 21st to experience it for yourself.

#8: Indiana Peony Festival
Noblesville is home to this festival celebrating the Indiana state flower. It takes place May 20th, and you can enjoy beautiful peonies of course but also kids’ crafts, food trucks, photo ops, and more.

#9: Freedom Festival
Starting Saturday, June 24th, you can enjoy all kinds of patriotic fun right in Greenwood! The Freedom Festival includes a parade, music, fireworks, and more. There’s also a kids’ zone and plenty of food and other vendors.

#10: Puppy POOLooza
If you have a devoted canine friend, then this experience is perfect for you. Visit the Freedom Springs Aquatic Center in Greenwood on September 10th for a special pool event, no humans allowed! The pool will be filled with water that is safe for your furry friends at this one-of-a-kind pool party.
